LOS ANGELES, KOMPAS.com -- Nominasi Grammy Awards 2011 atau yang ke-53 telah diumumkan oleh penyelenggaranya, National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, di Los Angeles (California, AS), 1 Desember 2010.

Eminem memimpin dengan menjadi nomine untuk 10 kategori--antara lain Record of the Year (lagu "Love the Way You Lie", featuring Rihanna), Album of the Year (Recovery), Song of the Year ("Love the Way You Lie"), Best Rap/Sung Collaboration ("Love the Way You Lie", featuring Rihanna), Best Rap Song ("Love the Way You Lie", featuring Rihanna), Best Rap Album (Recovery), dan Best Short Form Music Video ("Love Tte Way You Lie"/Explicit Version).

Di bawah Eminem ada Bruno Mars dengan tujuh nominasi. Di nomor tiga ada Jay-Z, Lady Antebellum, dan Lady Gaga, yang masing-masing menjadi nomine dalam enam kategori.

Jeff Beck, B.o.B, David Frost, Philip Lawrence, John Legend, Ari Levine, dan The Roots ada di urutan keempat dengan masing-masing lima nominasi. Sementara itu, Alex Da Kid, The Black Keys, Drake, Cee Lo Green, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Dirk Sobotka, dan Zac Brown masing-masing menjadi nomine untuk empat kategori.

"Nominasi tahun ini merupakan cerminan sesungguhnya dari komunitas pencipta musik yang luar biasa dan berbakat yang mewujudkan sejumlah level tertinggi dari keunggulan dan kesenian dalam bidang-bidang mereka masing-masing," kata Neil Portnow, President/CEO NARAS.

Kata Portnow pula, proses Grammy Awards sekali lagi menghasilkan nomine dengan genre yang sangat beragam dan mengesankan.
